In an effort to combat the effects of climate change and carbon emissions into the atmosphere, the Kogi State Government has commenced a tree planting and Climate Smart Agriculture campaign in the three Senatorial Districts of the State.

Earlier today, Kogi State ACReSAL held a Stakeholders’ Consultation Workshop on Gender Based Violence (GBV).
The Program, which was facilitated by the Centre for Non-violence and Gender Advocacy in Nigeria (CENGAIN) is part of a two (2) days engagement comprising Stakeholders’ Consultation and Data Collectors Training for the Mapping of GBV Service Providers in ACReSAL Project implementing States.

In its desire to achieve the Project Development Objective (PDO) of the ACReSAL Project, which are Afforestation, Poverty Reduction and Desertification Control in Northern Nigeria, Kogi State ACReSAL has held a meeting with the Contractors handling the rehabilitation of the Okura Nursery in Dekina Local Government Area, where they were strongly advised on the need to adhere strictly to the agreed Contract terms in the execution of the Assignment, as well as adhere strictly to agreed timelines.

In a bid to bring members of the Kogi ACReSAL Steering and Technical Committees up to speed on the PDO of the ACReSAL Project, and what the Project sets out to achieve, the Kogi ACReSAL PMU is organizing a Retreat for members of its SSC & STC.

In line with the Project Implementation Manual (PIM) of the ACReSAL Project, Kogi State ACReSAL has successfully inaugurated its Local Government Implementation Committees across the Local Governments of intervention, namely – ADAVI/OKENE, KABBA-BUNU & ANKPA LGAs.

It’s no longer news that the Government of Kogi State, through the instrumentality of Kogi State ACReSAL will be carrying out various intervention programs in several communities across the three Senatorial Districts of the State.
