Ten (10) days of rigorous training by the World Bank on Environmental and Social Framework (ESF) and Project Management for ACReSAL States came to an end today, April 19, 2023.
ACReSAL, being a very complex Project, involving three (3) Ministries (Environment, Water Resources, and Agriculture), requires a blend of professionalism, diligence, and dexterity in the implementation process, as a way of ensuring that the ACReSAL PDO is successfully achieved hence, the need for the just concluded ESF Training, Project Management & Coordination parley, as well as Work and Procurement Plans’ review.
In fact, owing to the premium placed on Safety, participants were issued certificates after a rigorous online and face to face ESF Training by the Bank.
The entire exercise was an eye -opener, as the Bank hammered on the place of Safety, Due Diligence, proper Project Management/Monitoring, as the necessary condiments for a successful Project Implementation…
Highlights of the exercise was the issuance of ESF Certificates to participants, whilst participants (Project Coordinators), led by World Bank Task Team Leader and the NPC paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Environment, Hon. Mohammed Abdullahi, where the Hon. Minister assured the World Bank and participating States of the continued support of his Ministry, as well as the Federal Government of Nigeria, in order to ensure the success of the Project.
