Earlier today, we convened a meeting of the ACReSAL State Technical Committee, Chaired by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Ecological Matters, alongside his colleagues and Co-chairmen from the Ministries of Water Resources and Agriculture, as well as other key members of the technical team.
At the meeting, the Project Coordinator, Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto – OON, presented the 2026–2027 Draft Work Plan for review and approval, including activities under the ACReSAL Additional Financing (AF).
The discussions focused on aligning planned interventions with the Project’s expanded objectives, strengthening implementation strategies, and ensuring that Project activities deliver measurable and sustainable results.
With the Additional Financing, the Project’s ambition is expanding to reach 2 million hectares of land under Sustainable Landscape Management and 6.58 million direct beneficiaries by 2031; this will support landscape restoration, climate-smart agriculture, improved water resources management, community resilience, and the rehabilitation of degraded ecosystems.
Kogi ACReSAL remains committed to effective planning, strong inter-ministerial collaboration, and diligent execution of approved activities to ensure that ACReSAL delivers lasting environmental and socioeconomic benefits to our communities.
