The Project Coordinator, Kogi ACReSAL has presented various ICT equipment to the Ministries of Agriculture, and Water Resources, as well as the Kogi State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA), and the ACReSAL Local Government Project Management Unit (LGPMU) in the 3 Catchments in the State.
The presentation which took place at the Project Office in Lokoja had the Permanent Secretaries in the Ministries of Environment, Agriculture, and Water Resources, as well as the General Manager, RUWASSA, and representatives of the LGPMU in the 3 Catchments in attendance.
The Project Coordinator, Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto – OON, in her welcome remarks, stated that the presentation was part of activities contained in Component “C” of the ACReSAL Project Development Objective (PDO).
According to the Project Coordinator, Institutional Strengthening forms an integral part of the Component, as MDAs’ capacity will be enhanced for effective job delivery.
The Project Coordinator who took time to give a summary of the different Components of the ACReSAL Project, and how it has impacted the State, said the Project is determined to do more.
The Project Coordinator also used the occasion to thank His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, who’s support for the Project is the reason “behind our many successes”. She added that, His Excellency, through his support, has demonstrated his resolve to building resilient communities, promote sustainable agricultural practices, and drive economic growth. She therefore acknowledged His Excellency’s tireless efforts, whilst looking forward to continued progress under his leadership.
Speaking on behalf of the benefiting MDAs, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Engr. Abdulsalam Sagir, assured the Project Coordinator that the equipment will be judiciously utilized to ensure effective service delivery, stating also that the equipment will be well maintained.
