Following the official launch of the second phase of Community Revolving Funds (CRF) Loan Scheme by Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Kogi ACReSAL CRF team has embarked on a State-wide implementation exercise to 80 benefitting communities with 2,321 beneficiaries, of which 1,084 are female, and 1,237 are male across the State.
In the first week of the 2-week long exercise which aims to further elucidate the proper utilization of the CRF, and emphasize the importance of loan recovery, the team has successfully taken its outreach to no fewer than 50 communities out of the targeted 80 communities across the State.
In all the communities so far visited, the ACReSAL team worked round the clock to educate community members, whilst the initiative has been embraced with so much enthusiasm. Benefitting members further pledged to utilize the funds for their intended purpose to enable others benefit.
The CRF is designed to promote sustainable development, boost economic growth and improve the livelihoods of community members.
Kogi ACReSAL CRF team’s efforts are part of the larger Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project, which aims to enhance the resilience of communities in semi-arid regions.
Many thanks to His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his unflinching support and friendly agricultural policies, which the ACReSAL Project is drawing strength from…
Highlight of the exercise was the handing over of CRF Bylaws to CRFMCs, as well as GRM boxes for proper collection of complaints/grievances and suggestions.
