World Bank and FPMU Engineering team arrive Kogi State on a Technical Mission.

A team from the World Bank and the FPMU are currently in Kogi State on an Engineering support Mission.
The Team lead, Engr. Ayo Odebiyi of the World Bank says they are in the State to review the progress of ongoing Civil Works on selected sites, assess compliance with approved Engineering Designs and Technical Specification, as well as identify technical issues that may require support and guidance.
According to Engr. Ayo, although Kogi ACReSAL is one of the foremost ACReSAL States in the implementation of Gully stabilization, constant technical support is key to Project Implementation and Sustainability.
Welcoming the Technical Mission Team on behalf of the Project Coordinator, the Project Accountant, reiterated the fact that Kogi State appreciates the World Bank and the FPMU for their continuous technical support to the Project, whilst adding that His Excellency, Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo’s unfettered determination to reduce the effect of land degradation led to this partnership. He further stated that many milestones have been achieved through His Excellency’s support hence, the need for the much needed technical support.
Also on the team are Musa Ayanwola and Ugo Onyedikachi, both Engineers from FPMU.
It is hoped that the Technical Mission will serve as an eye-opener to relevant project implementation and sustainability strategies, which will ensure that State investments under ACReSAL stand the test of time, and serve the purposes for which they are meant, considering that they are products of a loan, which the State Government must pay back!
