Under the leadership of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Ecological Management, who also doubles as Chairman, Kogi State ACReSAL Technical Committee, the first Technical Committee meeting for the year 2026. In attendance were the Co-Chairmen of the Committee, who are Permanent Secretaries in the Ministry of Water Resources, and Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.
The meeting was marked by fruitful deliberations on the way forward, and included a comprehensive overview of the Project’s progress report presented by the Project Coordinator, Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto.
Members of the Committee commended the efforts and achievements recorded so far, and provided valuable suggestions on sustaining and scaling the impact achieved so far.
Similarly, the Steering Committee, which is the highest decision-making body of the ACReSAL Project in Kogi State, also held its maiden meeting for the year today, February 18, 2026.
The session was chaired by the Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Engineer Joseph Oluwasegun; it also brought together key stakeholders to review project milestones, assess challenges, and chart a strategic path for accelerated implementation.
The Co-Chairmen, the Honorable Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Timothy Ojomah, and Honorable Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Yahaya M.D Farouk Yahaya both pledged their continuous support to the progress of Kogi ACReSAL.
Both meetings reaffirmed the commitment of Kogi State Government to chart forward its developmental Agenda for the progress of the State, specifically thanking His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for his unwavering support to Kogi ACReSAL.
They also assured the that their Ministries will deploy all the professionals in their kitty to support the effort of the SPMU so that every activity will impact positively on the people.
