In its desire to achieve the Project Development Objective (PDO) of the ACReSAL Project, which are Afforestation, Poverty Reduction and Desertification Control in Northern Nigeria, Kogi State ACReSAL has held a meeting with the Contractors handling the rehabilitation of the Okura Nursery in Dekina Local Government Area, where they were strongly advised on the need to adhere strictly to the agreed Contract terms in the execution of the Assignment, as well as adhere strictly to agreed timelines.
The Project Coordinator, Kogi ACReSAL, Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto (OON), while addressing the Contractors said that, since the rehabilitation of the Okura Nursery is pivot to the success of Kogi ACReSAL in the State, every step, during execution must follow technical guidelines.
In her remarks, the Natural Resource Officer, Rachael Anuwe, emphasized the need for synergy between the contracting firms and the host community, as this would ensure smooth implementation, and avoid conflict, especially arising from labour influx.
